  WELCOME!
We give thanks to God for everyone He sends our cathedral. Those of you that may wish to learn more about the Orthodox Christian Faith should contact a member of the clergy, and if you want to take the further step of becoming an Orthodox Christian, please, be aware that the Orthodox Church does not only welcome, but seeks new members. Don't be bashful - many people praying devoutly in our church have already taken this step. The main thing, of course, is to have a sincere desire to follow the Founder and Head of the Orthodox Church, our Lord, God, and Savior JESUS CHRIST!Clergy is always available in the parish office to speak with, to open the Church, and to serve the Needs for the visitors and pilgrims EVERY DAY from 10am to 4pm, regardless of the service schedule, so please feel free to come and pray or light a candle at your convenience. If you know the time of your visit in advance, calling and notifying us ahead would help us better serve you. In the midst of the earthly sorrows and life problems people often don't realize that a simple visit to Church, a sincere talk with a Priest, and a prayer together can be of great consolation. This is why we hold on to the old custom to have at least one of the Priests available every day to serve the people. You can also ask questions by telephone or e-mail. Orthodox first-time visitors as well as those Orthodox that attend our Church regularly but have not yet become active members are encouraged to join the active membership.
Our parishioners welcome you after both Liturgies to our Parish Hall next door. After the early 9:00am Liturgy, coffee, tea, and light snacks are served. After the late 11:00am Liturgy, on the other hand, the Sisterhood of Holy Virgin Mary Cathedral serves a full meal, buffet-style.
If you wish to receive the monthly Parish Bulletin that contains the entire schedule of services for the current and coming month as well as announcements and articles of spiritual interest, please leave your name at the candle stand after a service or inquire by calling the church office at (323)666-4977. It can be sent to you via regular mail, or electronically.
