  We give thanks to God for everyone He sends to our Cathedral and warmly welcome all those wishing to learn more about the Orthodox faith. Most important is your sincere desire to follow the Founder and the Head of the Orthodox Church, our Lord, God and Savior Jesus Christ!
Church/Office Hours
Clergy is always available in the parish office to speak with, to open the Church, and to serve the Needs for the visitors and pilgrims EVERY DAY from 10am to 4pm, regardless of the service schedule. Please feel free to come and pray or light a candle at your convenience. If you know the time of your visit in advance, calling and notifying us ahead would help us better serve you. You can also ask questions by telephone or e-mail.
Church Tours
Tours of the Church for groups or individuals in English or Russian languages may be requested at (323) 666-4977. Donations are always welcome.
Helping the Parish
Orthodox first-time visitors as well as those who attend our Church regularly are encouraged to visit the "Support your Church" page, as the parish life can't exist without active parishioners. If you haven't yet, consider becoming an active member by joining the Membership.
Lunches and Luncheons
Our parishioners welcome you after both Liturgies to our Parish Hall next door. After the early 9:00am Liturgy, coffee, tea, and light snacks are served. After the late 11:00am Liturgy, on the other hand, the Sisterhood of Holy Virgin Mary Cathedral serves a full meal, buffet-style. Please see the Events/Activities page which offers a list of various festal celebrations and meals.
Monthly Bulletin
If you wish to receive the
Parish "Monthly Bulletin" that contains the schedule of services as well as announcements and articles of spiritual interest, please leave your name at the candle stand after a service or inquire by calling the church office at (323)666-4977. It can be sent to you via regular mail, or electronically.
Education and Classes:

Russian Saturday School accepts baptised Russian Orthodox children who want to learn more about Church, improve in Russian language, study Russian literature, history and culture, and be a part of the Church life, serving in the Altar (boys) and singing in church choir (girls). School is active on Saturdays from mid-September to mid-June. Children ag
es 6-14 accepted. Every school year teachers and students prepare special concerts Christmas, Maslenitsa, Pascha, and the Graduation day. Parents take active part in School's activities and celebrations. Bring your children and join us!
Georgian Community of St. Nicholas:
The Community of St. Nicholas, meeting for services in Georgian language is meeting at Holy Virgin Mary Cathedral and is under the Georgian Orthodox Church. For information and schedules please contact the community's Rector, Hieromonk John (Cavcadze) (tel. 714-737-5793) or its Starosta, Sergei Nakaidze (nakaidzes@scfuels.com).
